EverGREENS

Healthy foods and lots of vitamins are always important, but especially so when we are going into the darker months filled with holiday treats! My go to way to keep my cravings in check, regulate my mood by preventing sugar crashes, and making sure I don't get sick during cold and flu season is green smoothies. When I was little they were the only I was afraid to try, but now I love them. I have currently discovered steamed then frozen cauliflower to thicken smoothies and make them creamier– game changer. I current favorite mix is spinach (I don't like the way kale doesn't blend smoothly), almond milk, steamed then frozen cauliflower, almond milk, egg white protein, and then I throw in mango and/or pineapple. So delicious and filled wth protein and some great Vitamin C.

It also looks festive! Especially topped with yummy granola and red berries. I recently bought a lid with a reusable straw for my mason jar and it has made taking smoothies on the go easy peasy. (you can find them on Amazon!).
